Today's Chai tea message is 'Live for Each Other'
That almost sounds like a Jerry Springer inspirational thought. I think I've just realised where Spinger got his thoughts: From Yoga Chai Tea.
Madness.
My eyeballs are so tired.
So, i broke CS3 the other day because I used migration assistant to pull some applications from Mac Daddy to Mac Daddy Pro. Something happened and I then spent a week trying to fix it.
I uninstalled CS2 completely, uninstalled CS3, Reinstalled it, did that again, hand deleted every indesign file and CS2 file from my computer. I had to go through the system library, the user library and the hard drive library and rip all files that dated past 2007 and that had some kind of CS connection.
I repaired the permissions on disk. Twice.
I verified the disk.
I went to the apple store and asked for help. I downloaded Onyx and cleaned the machine, uninstalled more programmes, reinstalled.
Sat and watched the crash reports. Read forum after forum, read the crash report over and over. Checked out the terminal and looked for abnormalities.
Watched indesign load and checked to see where it crashed, found out it kept crashing while loading the SING Gaiji system.
searched forum after forum for things on that.
Found an amazing site that told me to repair permissions on that file. I did, changed it to read and write by everyone. Still no luck.
I then had to delete that sucker right off the hard drive and it was solved.
I was getting to the point where I was thinking I would have to reinstall the entire operating system. I just didn't know what was happening or how to fix it. And there it was, one bloody folder that only serves a purpose if I'm using asian text. I kept the file to fouter with it another time.
Then the next day I battled with Quicktime, VLC and DivX and installed some Codecs so I could edit the lost boys AVI and have sound.
I felt like such a techno genius haha.
SO here it is, the best ending to any vampire movie ever:
So, I've decided there would be a fight at the end of Twilight, and Charlie would save the day, because he is the Policeman afterall and he knows what goes on in his town. Heck yeah.
Please appreciate the appearance of Corey Feldman. I LOVE HIM.
I think the best best part of it is that the beginning of strangers by the doors fits perfectly with the ending of the movie. do do do do. It just makes the perfect sound to accompany their expressions, and the attitude of the grandfather. I love the Doors.

Erased my Life.
Have you ever watched 6 years of your life flash before your eyes in a second?
I felt like I was having a near death experience or something.
Upgrading the mac (yes I am still talking about the mac) meant that iPhoto is a little more upgraded too, which means I can now link pictures to my external hard drive and still see them in iPhoto. Like what I do with my iTunes.
Anyway.
I was uploading the pictures and there were about 13,000 of them (and that's not them all) and they just flickered on past my face. It was strange. So quickly as wel. And of course they were animated. I love still frame animation.
I then sat and watched my life be erased from the hard drive of old mac. It was odd. Again, over in seconds.

The other day, when I was in town buying breaking dawn, i parked close to George Square and Borders. When I came back to my car I just leaped in (after punching it by accident and jumping up and down in pain) and then while driving I saw that someone had left a card under the windscreen wiper (which was on, because it's Glasgow and it's summer time).
So it sa there for a few days. I then looked at it. This is what it said

I wondered if they targetted my car because it is a Ford Ka. Hmmm, and it was parked infront of the prettiest Mercedes I've seen in a long long time. I think I actually gawked at it as I walked past it. I love my ka though. Love it. Love.
Hopefully I'll have something interesting to blog about soon.
Oh. So, last week when I was going a bit cray in work my blood pressure was 98 Beats a Minute.
This meant nothing to me because I don't know what my regular resting heart beat is. So I took it the next morning to see the difference and it was 72 Beats a Minute.
Out of genuine curiosity I took my heart rate on Monday at work and it was down in the 50s I think I think 57.
I remember reading that the average rate should be between 70-90 and that people who do endurance sports probably sit lower than 70.
Swimming is technically endurance. Hmmm.
I'm going to take it right now.
Right now it's sitting at 60-64.
Yeah, my heart rate was through the roof last week. Mental.

Mac(h) Five.
Here is a photographic journey of the arrival of Mac(h) 5. Super fast, super pretty, super sleek, a little wider, with luscious purple lighting under the keyboard, an in-built camera, and the faint smell of aftershave on the keyboard where James's hands and wrists must have once sat.
Indeed I bought the Fifth Mac from a man named James Bates. Bates Motel. Heehee.
The last mac was called Nick after its previous owner, so I'm not sure what to call this puppy. James doesn't rhyme with the abbreviation of my name.
There is the obvious title which it already has: 17inch mac Daddy Pro. But it's nickname needs to be shorter. I suppose it will be james, or we could stick with the kk naming process and call it Jakk. Jamekk. It's a bit of a mouthful though.
Ramble Ramble.
here's the pictures and the excitement. There's no pictures of my excited face purely because what I was wearing at the time wouldn't have done much for my reputation after the pictures had been released on the internet. Pah Ha.

oooo what could this mighty package be? (I actually picked it up from the post office and when I was walking back to the car there was a skip in my step and i kept shouting Mac book pro in an over excited voice... I think I have Apple Tourettes.)

Cut Cut. Or Tank Girl style: Snip Snip. Mr Bates packaged this wee guy well.

Bubble Wrap. I had a choice: Play with the bubble wrap or keep unwrapping the mac.

Hail Hail Apple and their slick packaging.

So white, so apple, so pleased, so excited.

And a new black and lime green case.. with cat hair.
A few days later I was seen being an iGeek while transferring files.

I am completely pleased.
PS. The mac on the right is now for sale. 17inch mac daddy G4 Powebook, 100gb HD, 1GB RAM. runs like a king. Amazing.
Oh and here it is... the generic 'I've-Just-Bought-A-Mac-with-photo-booth-And-I'm-so-Andy-Warhole' photograph.

I LOVE APPLE; or, Fifth Mac.
Fifth mac.
Yes.
Fifth.
Right now I'm in a room with three macs. A G4 Tower, A Powerbook G4 and a MacBook Pro.
What's amazing is that I'm working on the powerbook, while I wirelessly stream my music through the mac book pro into my harmon kardon soundsticks.
Why is that Apple is so easy to use. I didn't have to set this strange network up. They found each other. Nick found James. It's kind of sad that they are talking to each other and one is going to replace the other, but just now it's a happy family of macs.

SO EXCITED.

I'm slowly loosing my mind, all work and no play makes Vikki a dull girl. I also need to find someone to travel with, I'm dying to travel.
How amazing though. Fifth mac, Fourth Mac, Third Mac... all in the one room. Second Mac is either still with Kate or sold on gum tree and first mac was biege (enough said).
Anyway. Back to work. I need to have a shower.

I'm Not Ill and You're Not Dead...
.... Doesn't that make us the perfect pair?
I had something that was partially intersting to say. I can't remember what it was now.
I'll tell you though. There were workmen here the this morning because they want to take the ceiling away, but they're coming back tomorrow. However, I've had to clean and empty the bathroom and kitchen areas. This led me to come across a Teenage Mutant HERO turtles mug that was sitting on a unit burried under soda streams and tin foil (that's tin foil not aluminum foil.. PAH).
Violin lesson went okay.
I bought a mac book pro today. 17inch mac daddy pro, it should be here on Friday, which means the weekend will be spent transferring, wiping and listing on ebay :( I love Nick the 17inch Mac Daddy, but we will be getting Bates the 17inch Mac Daddy Pro. PROOOOOO.
With that little extra kick, a remote control and a web cam. Someone stop me, I'm going to make some lie budget movies.
Remind me to enter all the competitions i keep reading about.
I have so much to do, and no time. It's crazy.
BAH... that's it.
I had a really freaky dream. I dreamed I went to see the doctor and she automatically gave me some kind of fertility test. Weird?
And then she sat me down and told me in a really sad and serious voice that (of course this was while I was crashing my car, running around town, having my family randomly floating around me) she was really sorry, but my eggs were over producing and that meant that I was exceptionally fertile. At which point I got kind of excited. Then she continued to say that 'they could not be chryogenically frozen.' Then I realised I was about to embark on some kind of organ interferring adventure or operation. Then I got really sad.
I need to stop going to sleep, because everytime I wake up I just get sad again. Then after about 2 hours I'm fine.
I damn thee to hell glandular fever. Did I mention my new enlightenment? Glandular Fever can be brought on by huge emotional events. More and more things about December keep adding up. I wish I had never left.
I love people that sing in Scottish accents.
I love Scottish bands in general. I'm always surprised at the amount of amazing Scottish bands.
The Twilight Sad
Frightened Rabbit
Biffy Clyro
Idlewild
The Proclaimers
Camera Obscura
Belle and Sabastian
Garbage
and the ones I don't know so well
Franz Ferdinand
The Fratellis
Anyway, i have work to do. Or bed to go to. I don't know which is the most logical choice at this time. Hmmm.
